What is the biggest misconception you had in your childhood?

 Things I was convinced were true as a kid -

• Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar were actually the same person.

• It rained whenever God was cleaning His house.
• When no one was watching, toys came alive and talked to each other.

• People who wore glasses were automatically intelligent.
• Long ago, animals could speak our language and have conversations with humans.

• If you killed a snake, you had to crush its eyes too. Otherwise, it would capture your picture in its eyes, and its wife would come after you to take revenge. 😂

• O-positive blood could be donated to everyone.
• If I missed someone a lot, they would start getting hiccups because I was thinking about them.
• The people on CID were actually real-life CID officers who solved real cases.

• If I accidentally swallowed a seed, a tree would grow inside me.

• If I ever reached the clouds, I could actually eat them. 😂

Why do some people look good in childhood and become ugly when they grow up?

 Because when people grow up, they gain tremendous amounts of weight and this weight is scattered all across their body giving them that ugly look.

Another major reason is genetic which changes how a person looks when they grow up.

The child star of terminator who played John Conner comes to mind.

Now he looks like this at age 48.

Arnold Schwarzenegger looks like this at age 78.

What is the biggest misconception you had in your childhood?

 Well I had quite wild perspective on the world when I was a kid. Here are some misconceptions that me and my friends had in those days that I can remember.

• RSS is a textile company which is famous for manufacturing khaki shorts.

• Manmohan Singh had throat cancer in his younger days that’s the reason why he couldn’t speak.

• Gandhi was the main reason behind creation of Pakistan (We hated Gandhi way too much in our childhoods.)

• Hollywood movies are all about sex,nudity and kissing :P

• Even beggars in countries like USA are richer than average Indian common man.

• By 2015, India will be declared as a “developed country”.

• If you don’t wear underwear regularly, your balls will get separated from your body and fall to the ground due to constant hanging.

• Until I was 10, I always pictured Sardar Patel as a strong body builder and thought thats why he is called as Iron man of India.

• Pakistan is at the verge of bankruptcy and will again merge with India soon.

• Actor themselves sing the songs on spot and the whole movie will be shot in less than 12 hours.

Well these are some of the wild misconceptions I had when I was a kid. Do comment which one made you laugh out loud.

What is the biggest misconception you had in your childhood?

 

• Etc. is et cetera.
• I pronounced it as ex-et-ra.
• 2 ones are 2. 2 twos are 4.
• I did 2 one-za 2.
• 2 two-za 4.
• It is case-roll, which packs your chapatis.
• I pronounced it as Castrol.
• The D in Disney logo—
• It isn’t a glorified inverted G.

• It is Thums Up.
• Not Thumbs Up.

• The world would end in 2012 anyway. So what’s the point of studying.
• I had that thought in 6th standard.
• It is a 0 in papers.
• Not the teacher drawing an egg.
• Anacondas are real.
• I thought they weren’t.
• Dragons aren’t real.
• I thought they were.

• Earth’s rotation causes day and night.
• It doesn’t mean that at night the earth is upside down and you’re just being held together by gravity.
• Advertisements on TV are pre-recorded.
• The same actors don’t precisely act the ad again and again.
• Pokemon is the best series of all time.
• .
• .
• .
• Pokemon still is, the best series of all time.

What is the biggest misconception you had in your childhood?

 

• If you touch a dragonfly, you will find a ₹5 coin.
• Eating Boomer can kill you. It is made of pig fat.

• I just have to pass 12th, life is set after that.
• Cotton Candy is made of old woman hair that a vendor used to collect from homes.
• Coin becomes magnet, if train passes through it.

• If you clamp scissors, there will be a fight in house .
• If your slippers are upside down, there will be a fight.
• If you eat watermelon seeds by mistake, it will grow a tree inside you because you ate mud in childhood and its still there in your stomach.

• Jumping over someone reduces the height of that individual. But if you again jump back, it is okay, no spell bound.
• If you keep this feather in your notebook, after 33 days, it will give birth to another one.

• Don't dangle your feet, Dad will loose money.
• If you collect enough wrappers of Britanina biscuits, you will get a free ticket to worldcup.

• Do I need to say anymore?

• Kane and Undertaker are brothers. Undertaker threw acid on Kane's face, that's why he wears a mask and Kane killed Undertaker afterwards. But Undertaker rose from the dead.

• Writing from gel pen automatically changes your handwriting into beautiful.

• The old store room or guest cottage of a house is haunted
• If you have 2 of these, you'll get to marry twice.

• Kissing can make girls pregnant.
• Porn airs on Fashion TV at 12am.

• Australians took drugs in WC 2003 final.
• Ricky Ponting had springs in his bat in WC 2003 final.

• God will fight my problems.
