What facts are too horrible to know?

 1. The human brain can create false memories that feel 100% real . This phenomenon is called False Memory Syndrome .

2. Staring at a mirror in the dark for too long can cause your brain to create a terrifying image. This phenomenon is called the Troxler Effect .

3. Mount Everest has around 200 frozen bodies that serve as markers for climbing routes.

4. There are more viruses in your body than there are stars in the Milky Way galaxy. In fact, human DNA contains more ancient viruses than our own ancestors.

5. Apples in supermarkets are often 6–12 months old before they're sold. They're stored under special conditions to keep them looking fresh.

6. Apple seeds contain small amounts of cyanide. But don't worry, your body can tolerate it.

7. The Sentinelese have lived in isolation for thousands of years. They will attack anyone who tries to approach them.

What is the most horrible thing Queen Elizabeth II has ever done?

Not horrible, but insensitive, even petty.

Here's the grievance: on April 8, 2005, the funeral of John Paul II, Pope of the Catholic Church, took place. On this occasion, virtually every head of state in the world was present, including presidents, reigning kings and queens, high-ranking dignitaries from all religions, and heads of government—in short, the gathering of dignitaries from various countries exceeded 200. All countries except one. Well, not quite. Queen Elizabeth II was notably absent. It was her son, Prince Charles, who represented the British Crown.

Why was she absent? At that time, she was still young and could have traveled much further for less. Did she have a migraine? A boil on her backside? An episode of a must-see TV series? No. The real reason for her absence was that she didn't want to bend the knee to the Catholic Church, she who is the head of the Church of England, a title that is one of her attributes as monarch. Now, the Church of England has "divorced" itself from the Catholic Church (it's a break, not a schism) since 1534 and has since held a rather unique status, being both "Catholic and Reformed." Everyone understood her undignified gesture at the time, an absence that meant that Elizabeth, by coming, would be seen as an act of allegiance to this Catholic Church that the British, on the whole, reject, even despise.

Some television news commentators also disliked his absence and did not hesitate to say a few words about it, while in the audience of heads of state, President George W. Bush was seen on screen shaking hands with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, two antagonistic enemies who happened to be seated not far from each other…

Here's what I say: protocol or not, what the queen wants, the queen gets. The codified protocol shouldn't be used as a smokescreen to simply hide the fact that the queen didn't want to go, that's all.

So this is the "nasty" thing that Elizabeth II did…

All nationalities and all religions were represented…

Even the atheist Fidel Castro was there…

But not her…

Which great innings is ruined by a horrible ending in a cricket match?

Gautam Gambhir- When the Man of Crisis almost saved India’s day-

It was the Commonwealth Bank Series of 2008. India was facing Australia in a high voltage group clash.

Australia skipper R. T. Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first,on what appeared to be a flat SCG pitch.

A magnificent 124 from Punter, supported by attacking fifties from Matt Hayden and Andrew Symonds(Roy) pummelled the Aussie total to 317/7 in the stipulated 50 overs.

Chasing this total,India were off to a shaky start, having lost openers V. Sehwag and S. R. Tendulkar cheaply. No. 4 batter R. G. Sharma and star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh too failed to impress,as India were reduced to a precarious 51 for 4 in 10.2 overs.

But one man was looking absolutely calm and cool- Gautam Gambhir.

He tried to forge a partnership with skipper M. S. Dhoni.

As Dhoni was playing an extremely slow knock on that day(36 off 66 balls),Gambhir had to take up the role of the attacker.

If a batsman plays 11 full overs himself, and scores only 36 runs in those, then I guess you guys can well understand how high the required run rate becomes, especially when your team is chasing a 300+ total. And simultaneously,it puts a lot of pressure on the batter who’s batting alongside you.

Whatever,Dhoni’s struggle was finally ended by Lee,as he edged one to the keeper.

Finally,Gambhir found an able ally in the form of R. V. Uthappa.

They shared a quickfire 69 run stand in just 52 balls. But the required run rate had gone very very high by then.

Gautam Gambhir, the dashing Gautam Gambhir scored 113 off just 119 balls, with the help of 9 sweetly timed 4s and 1 huge 6. He reached his 100 off 109 balls.

Unfortunately, trying to up the anté,he stepped out of his crease, and misread a very ordinary delivery from Brad Hogg. He was stumped!!😑

After his dismissal,India collapsed completely.

Uthappa continued to heave mighty blows, while I. Pathan and Harbhajan too contributed small cameos, but those weren’t enough to chase down 317.

India ended on 299,handing Australia an 18 run win.

However, the match could have had a different result, had so many balls not been wasted by a single batsman in the middle overs.

Whatever, this innings of Gambhir was a great knock. Unfortunately,it ended in an unfortunate stump out.

Apologies- I couldn’t find an image of the toss of this match. Hence I had to enclose an image of the toss of the CWC 2011 Quarter final clash. My heartiest apologies for the inconvenience.

Which celebrated Bollywood celebrity was a horrible person in real life?

 Rajesh Khanna.

Rajesh Khanna was a superstar and superstardom was something, he couldn’t handle. At one time he was treated like a god in Indian cinema and the real problem started when he really started thinking that he is one.

Rajesh Khanna started his career from Chetan Anand’s film “Akhari Khat” which was a dud at box office. But Shakti Shamantha’s “Aaradhna” made him superstar over the night. Success got into his head. And the first victim of this was his girlfriend of seven years Anju Mahendru. After the breakup Khanna married Dimple Kapadia before the release of her first movie Bobby. The story goes that he got his baraat to go in front of Mahendru’s bungalow (which was actually Khanna’s bungalow). They did not speak for nearly 17 years after his marriage.

With success came a group of hangers on, who kept reminding Khanna that he was the superstar. “Although those were the days when Khanna was ‘friends’ with nearly all his colleagues, the regular darbar that he held at Aashirwad had only small-timers in attendance. Among those he hung out with were the producers Mohan Kumar and Johnny Bakshi, writer VK Sharma and villain Roopesh Kumar (claimed to be a cousin of Mumtaz).

These people made the things worse for him as Rajesh Khanna didn’t care anyone including these fellows when he was riding high on the stardom. He used to arrive late on sets, working with him was a huge task for directors and he mostly was introvert and quite unfriendly with his co-actors. Only after four years of his success journey, in year 1973, Amitabh Bachchan appeared in the scene featuring in blockbuster film Zanjeer. He was a boy next door types, an angry young man and people instantly liked him. He was professional, more humble and available to the producers and directors and very soon, he replaced Rajesh Khanna as the next superstar.

Almost unemployed, defeated and still stubborn Rajesh Khanna isolated himself to his house and became an alcoholic. His wife, his daughter and all the remaining family members also left him slowly and in his last days he was only seen with a nobody like “Anita Advani”. She was rumoured to be his live-in partner and the only person around him when he died.

Tragic!!! Isn’t it???
