Why did Amir Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan never work together?

 

1. Aishwarya never worked with Aamir Khan in a film except very brief appearance in Mela (2000). In that film Aishwarya appeared at last minutes of the film to pair with Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan.

1. She was not paired with Aamir in any film but there were several attempts to cast them together. Bollywood director Yash Chopra wanted to launch Aishwarya Rai in his film Darr (1993) with Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol. Yash Chopra also screen tested Aishwarya for Juhi Chawla's Kiran role but later Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai both were dropped from the film and Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla were finally cast. Aishwarya was more interested to join Miss India pageant than doing film. So Yash Chopra decided to work with her some years later after her Miss India pageant. Unfortunately she lost Miss India trophy to Sushmita Sen and went to Miss World competition instead of Miss Universe competition. During that time Miss World was secondary to Miss Universe.

1. Many filmmakers tried their best to launch Aishwarya Rai in film industry but couldn't succeed. Mani Ratnam wanted her for Madhoo's role in Roja, Manisha’s role in Bombay, Shankar wanted her for Manisha's role in Tamil film Indian but she refused all of them for modelling career. She was extremely popular model at that time. She infact got her first breakthrough in modeling career with the famous Pepsi Ad with Aamir Khan himself and Mahima Choudhry.

1. Director Dharmesh Darshan approached her for Karishma's role in Raja Hindustani opposite Aamir Khan but again she refused to do it for her Miss World commitments. She was so much into ramp fashion modeling and TV ads. Later Dharmesh signed Karishma Kapoor.

1. Aamir Khan and Aishwarya again were supposed to act in Indra Kumar's Mann but Aishwarya was busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam at that time. So she refused to do it.

1. After several failed atrempts to bring Aamir and Aishwarya together they were so close to act in Ketan Mehta's Mangal Pandey- The Rising. Again Aishwarya Rai backed out of the film at last moment on financial conflicts with the director Ketan Mehta. So they again couldn't do the film. Aishwarya was supposed to play Ameesha Patel's role.

1. When Aishwarya refused so many films with Aamir Khan then the actor decided not to work with her in any film. Infact producer Aditya Chopra wanted Aishwarya opposite Aamir in Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa but Aamir refused to work with her and suggested Kajol's name to Aditya Chopra.

1. Aamir Khan and Aishwarya did a live concert and Pepsi and Coca Cola ad together but never did any film together except Mela where Aishwarya did only 2 minute cameo.

Why did not Shahrukh Khan and Kadar Khan work together?

 Shahrukh Khan and Kader Khan never worked together. Kader Khan had a cameo in “Oh Darling Yeh Hai India”, as one of the bidders.

Though they were in the same location for a scene they did not had a dialogue exchange.

The main reason for their non-collabration was that their peak careers didn't perfectly overlap. During the initial stages, Shahrukh gained fame as an anti-hero followed by a romantic hero. At that time Kader Khan had just stepped out from villainous roles and was on his comedy streak especially with Govinda and David Dhawan.

Besides this, their preferred teams were different too. Kader Khan worked extensively with David Dhavan at that time while Shahrukh’s major collabrations were with Yash Chopra and Karan Johar.

Post - 2000s Kader Khan also had significant health issues which was later followed with a knee operation and wheel chair dependency which limited his participation in films.

So there was no professional conflicts between the two. The main reasons for their non-collabration was differences in their career timelines, lack of suitable opportunities and natural divergence of their individual film trajectories.

How many movies did Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz star in together?

 Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz is probably the only pair who have given all hits.

From 1969 to 1977 they were seen together in 10 films and almost all of them were hits.

They did Do Raaste and Bandhan in 1969. The movies ended up being the 2nd and the 8th highest grosser of that year.

Rajesh Khanna's double role in Sachaa Jhoota ended up being the second highest grosser of 1970.

The next year, Dushman was a super-hit and the third highest grosser of 1971.

Apna Desh in 1972 was a super-hit and the sixth highest grosser of that year.

Their next release was Raja Rani (1973) in which Mumtaz played a cameo. The film was a super-hit.

Two releases in 1974, Roti and Aap Ki Kasam, ending up as the sixth and the ninth highest grosser of that year.

Their release Prem Kahani in 1975 was also a success.

They were seen together for the last time in Aaina (1977). Rajesh Khanna played a cameo in the film so did Kamal Hassan, Dharmendra and Neetu Singh. The film was a hit.
