What are some photos we rarely see?

A rarely seen photo is of a giant bird's nest.

And the architect is a sociable weaver bird.

The sociable weaver is a species of weaverbird. Its small, sparrow-like body shape allows it to build a giant nest, housing a colony of birds, including pygmy falcons and lovebirds. Even vultures and eagles like to perch on the roof. All are welcome, except predators.

How clever is he in creating nests?

Generally, the materials used vary. There are wooden branches for the roof, dry grass as the dividers between each room, and sharp straw to protect the entrance from predators. Each room is also lined with feathers and cotton to keep its occupants warm during the winter. The rooms are circular with a diameter of 10-15 centimeters, suitable for a family bird apartment, which can consist of 100 rooms and accommodate up to hundreds of birds.

It turns out they aren't picky when choosing trees to build their nests. The trees they choose typically have straight, smooth trunks, making them difficult for land predators like snakes to climb. The trees should also have vertical branches and be well above the ground. Therefore, sociable weavers also like to nest on power lines, especially those living in areas where large trees are rare.

However, this poses quite a problem. Electricity and telephone companies are struggling to design power poles that can support the weight of a sociable weaver's nest, as it can weigh up to a ton. This is because the weight of this bird's nest can multiply during the rainy season due to wetness and waterlogging. The weight is so great that the power pole can collapse! Seeing the picture above reminds me of Lady Gaga's clothes 😄 She loves creative clothes.

Continuing the story, it turns out guys... They also build nests on iron.

Sociable weavers are non-migratory birds. They remain in the same nest throughout their lives. These birds maintain close family ties with other colony members, such as feeding their neighbors' newly hatched chicks. And here's another piece of their work:

Hopefully the image above can meet the criteria of a rarely seen photo.
