What images remind us of almost forgotten aspects of our past?

 1. Road washing machine in 1905.

2. For those who thought the use of face masks was something new, I regret to inform you that it's a technique from decades ago. Here we see actors Stanley Morner and Betty Furness rehearsing a masked love scene, 1937.

Just like the kissing rehearsals during the flu epidemic. The scene was rehearsed 20 times before the cameras were pointed at the actors. During the filming of the scene, of course, the masks were removed.

3. Fiat factory, on whose roof there was a track where cars were tested, Turin, Italy.

4. Measurement judges at the Tokyo Olympic Games, 196.

With their help, before the introduction of videocassettes, winners were identified in races and other team speed competitions.

5. Airline reservation service before computers, 1945.

6. Kites from the past. Inventor Alexander Graham Bell and his assistants fly a four-sided kite, 1908.

7. In 1902, people in Alaska weren't sculpting snowmen, but snow titans.

8. Removals, San Francisco, 1908.

9. How soldiers had to practice inside the trenches, exercising with their pet fox Rusty, 1943.

10. Good citizens are undoubtedly even more so. A policeman stops traffic so a cat can take its kittens, New York, 1925.

What are the darker aspects of being a flight attendant?

  • Flight attendants bear the greatest physical strain. For example, if a flight departs Delhi at 6:00 AM and arrives in London 5.5 hours behind schedule, it will be morning. In other words, it's a daytime flight. Arriving at night creates a long gap in sleep, which disrupts the body's internal clock.
  • Many flight attendants frequently encounter passengers who view them as hired servants, making selfish demands, and behaving arrogantly, wanting to spend time with them. However, flight attendants must behave politely.
  • In many cases, passengers stare or try to harass flight attendants because of their attire. However, flight attendants strive to provide the best possible service by minimizing any distractions to passengers and focusing on courteous service. If the behavior goes too far, flight attendants can file a complaint afterward, and appropriate action will be taken.
  • One major challenge is the drastic change in diet. Becoming a flight attendant means your body has to adapt to the water and food of the cities you land in. As a result, flight attendants often face many problems and frequently get sick.
  • If a passenger dies, only the cabin crew and their testimonies are required to provide a full explanation and testimony, but they may also become involved in legal issues.
  • Often, people try to take advantage of flight attendants, sometimes fighting with them, and sometimes even abusing them. Even if the airline is at fault or the food isn't good, flight attendants must listen, because in a sense, the airline acts as a spokesperson and leader.
  • Flirting with flight attendants has become a common practice, and most people think they can make a move, but you need to understand that they are trained flight attendants, not your maids, and they are there to provide you with the best airline experience, not to put up with your flirting and insults.
  • Whenever you fly with an airline, make sure to receive excellent service from the cabin crew. It will make both you and the cabin crew happy.

According to Hindu religious aspects, which relatives within the family can get married?

In Kerala, as long as you don't share the same family name, it's alright to get married to each other. We are a matrilineal society and inherit our mother's family name and so do our prospective partners.

So a girl/boy can marry her/his mother's brother's son/daughter, as they belong to the family of the aunt (the brother's wife).

Similarly, they can also marry their father's sister's son/daughter for the same reason.

Sons and daughters of direct brothers and sisters automatically became siblings. Marriage wasn't permitted between these people. Although the children of brothers are technically from different families, it is still not allowed.

All other relative marriages are okay, provided the generation level is maintained. In Tamil Nadu, for instance, it was permitted for a man to marry his sister's daughter. This would be seen as incest in Kerala. So, there were regional differences.

This isn't the case in other parts of India where patrilineal societies exist.
