The longest train in Indian Railways that runs non-stop between two intermediate stops is Mumbai Central - Hapa Duronto Express (12267/12268).
The train runs non-stop between Ahmedabad Junction and Mumbai Central (493 kilometers) without any technical halt as well.
- The Hapa Duronto Express 12267 departs Mumbai Central at 10:50 pm on daily basis and arrives Hapa at 10:10 am on the next day of commencing of journey. The total travel time is 11 hours 20 minutes.
- The Mumbai Central Duronto Express 12268 departs Hapa at 08:05 pm on daily basis and arrives Mumbai Central at 08:00 am on the next day of commencing of journey. The total travel time is 11 hours 55 minutes.
- The train travels total distance of 815 kilometers between Mumbai Central and Hapa in which 493 kilometers distance is covered non-stop by the train.
When the train was introduced, it was initially running upto Ahmedabad Junction. Later on, it got extended to Rajkot. In 2022, the train was extended to Hapa.
Earlier this record was held by trains like Trivandrum Rajdhani Express, Kerela Sampark Kranti Express which used to run non-stop between Kota Junction and Vadodara Junction (528 kilometers). Currently, these trains are halting at Ratlam Junction.
Note : I am considering technical halt for crew change as a stoppage of the train.
