Beware the ghost of Zail Singh - India's former president
Giani Zail Singh was a former President. He had Z security. He announced in Delhi - In April 1987, Zail Singh revealed in a press confrence and personaly to Khushwant Singh that "Tomorrow I am going to reveal all the secrets of ‘Bofors scandal’( Indian-Sweden arms deal) and will name all big guns of Indian Politics." However, due to ‘unknown reasons’ he kept quiet and vanished for 7 years. He stayed away from press, public and private appearance.
After May 21, 1992( first death anniversary of India's former prime minister), he gave hints of revealing the names again, however, he mysteriously vanished again for two years.
Finally, on November 29 1994, when he announced the press that he will reveal all the “secrets and scandals of Bofors deal upon reaching Chandigarh”…
His bullet proof car( protocol for all former presidents and prime ministers) was hit by a speeding truck. Coincidentally, his Z security was reduced that day, coincidentally, his ambulance( again a protocol for the caravan of supreme leaders) was parked miles away, coincidentally, the truck was speeding on the wrong side, coincidentally, Sukhjinder singh, the truck driver, was released a week after and never found
Coincidentally, the ambulance took almost two hours to reach, coincidentally, he was taken to PGI hospital and was admitted there for almost a month before he succumbed to fatal injuries on December 25, 1994
Coincidentally, no one from his political party visited the hospital to learn about his well-being. Coincidentally, he was never shifted to any reputed hospital in Delhi or elsewhere. Coincidentally, his diary, which had all the names and details of Bofors Scandal, was never found including many other official papers. Coincidentally, the investigation was closed the next day of his death. Coincidentally, Sukhjinder singh moved to Canada with his entire family on December 29, 1994
