Naseeruddin Shah's ego is just too much. The way he constantly talks down about popular actors and their acting, that's exactly what's wrong with him.
Back in 1986 when Karma was about to release…
Many newspapers reported that Naseeruddin Shah said "We'll teach Dilip kumar how to act"
If true, that was a huge ego trip.
Basically Naseer was hell bent on some way, making it official that he'd given Dilip kumar a competition.
Dilip Kumar, being a wise and intelligent man, reportedly avoided any major face to face scenes with him….
Though there are a few scenes in the film where both of them appear together, but for most of those scenes their shots were taken separately and then merged together in editing.
And later in an interview Naseer said "that's why I've never watched Karma in my life and never will"
That's the problem with Naseer, he's a genuinely great actor, but he keeps throwing shade at popular actors. He's done this multiple times. He seems to think popular actors are overrated, which isn't always true.
