There are many. The one I found really interesting is of Sarika Thakur, known as Sarika, an old Indian actress, who is known as the partner of Kamal Hassan and mother of Shruti Hassan and Akshara Hassan.
Sarika started her career as a child actor and played both boy and girl roles as a child. Like many child actors the parents forced the children to work in films and used their hard earned money for themselves. Sarina's parents got divorced when she was 5 and so father figure was absent from her life so her mother controlled her life.
Sarika made her debut as a lead actress with Rajshri productions with Geet Gata Chal which was a success but she couldn't sustain her success and slowly relegated to supporting roles.
