My brother recently joined Google
A day, he invited me to visit his workplace.
While we were hanging out in the cafeteria, a guy walked past, waved, and said, "Let me know when you're free, we'll connect right here."
My brother nodded with smile.
I was a bit confused and asked, "Wait, you have a meeting? And why would you meet here? It’s so noisy.”
To which he answered “No, it's just a casual catch-up to bond and get to know the team."
Apparently, his manager specifically told him to just sit with people, chat, and see how well they connect.
Man, it really made me think about those, micromanaging managers who lose their minds if they see employees chatting.
