Anyone who knows tamanna from her career beginning will say only one thing in common, “Why tamanna? Why?”
The Start:
Tamanna is one of those rare actresses who got stardom and recognition only after facing many disasters and critical comments. Her debut movie is “Sree” which is better not discussed about. Later “Happy day” brought real happy days to tamanna’s life but they didn’t last long enough.
This “Happy days” success fixed her only to one genre and created a talk among audience that tamanna can do only bubbly charming baby character for whom the protagonist craves to fall in love with. Whenever an actor or actress is confined to a gener, trust me, they can’t last in game for so long. That’s what happened with many highly reputed actresses I know and still happening with emerging actresses. For example. sai pallavi was praised for her performance in Fidaa. I am not talking about premam because most of the people only watched it after her critically acclaimed Fidaa released. But after Fidaa, she came with same performance in MCA movie and critics panned her without any mercy and the movie was disaster.
The Rise:
So, to come out of the genre confinement room, tamanna played some characters of which only few helped her but most of them misfired. I read other answers and felt sad when they said tamanna sucks at acting. For all those answer writers and supporters, I suggest them to watch the movie “100 percent love”. That movie showcased a matured brand new tamanna but that was her last success as of I remember.
The Fall:
Her career fell in wrong place when selected scripts like Rebel, Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu just because of the big names like prabhas and pawan kalyan. All these mistakes put her only in wrong place and but one movie burnt her at the place she stood. It is none other than “Ooseravelli”. That movie got a brilliant cast and crew except the movie result was completely reversed just due to few moments in the second half in which tamanna was overly narrated. She wasn’t able to handle the story weight and fans crushed her to hell with reviews.
Revival efforts:
After burnt by ooseravelli, many thought she will re-emerge with baahubali but not until they watched the movie. Tamanna.. the women who never did a cleavage show or lip locked any actor on-screen stripped to semi nude. People would have accepted it if its a debut movie but tamanna with such a family and cult following did this thing and every single one lost interest in her movies and career. Only few obsessed with her hips and navel are followers left and they are really not enough to make money in industry. Dick move, Tamanna.
After baahubali released, the director rajamouli said that tamanna’s character was never written earlier. Initially, baahubali is a single movie in which prabhas climbs the mountain with the help of a monkey. But due to animal acts and rules, they can’t bring a real one and rajamouli is not so keen on using CGI for such an important monkey. So, his father rewrote and added tamanna which added some love content and hence divided the movie into two.
Really? An actress like tamanna accepted such character? A character to replace monkey? What a degradation!!! I was shocked because I was her fan. During baahubali 2 audio release, the rest of the characters got individual intros describing their behaviours, but tamanna? Not even a photo. That is the bottom she reached.
All out for money:
After recieving so much criticism and losing her class fans, all that was left for her is retain the mass fans while making money, she started choosing item songs. She did item songs irrespective of languages that too in Hero (with rich background) launching movies and for NTR whom she previously acted as lead role in Ooseravelli. Accompanying this, she did some commercial roles in Tamil which no one even except the respective hero fans and tamanna’s asset lover cared for.
Rock meet bottom:
Tamanna did all the non sensical roles and cameos in other languages but in telugu, she didn’t take that risk. This is her home and she knew that people here are not ready to see her that way. So, she was looking for a decent but a good role not like baahubali where she was ignored after climbing the “Blockbuster” mountain. As soon as she signed Sye raa, news circulated that she played as 3rd wife of protagonist due to lack of roles giving final verdict as rock meet bottom.
But blasting all those rumours and talks to hell, tamanna delivered the best version of her role in given span and all tamanna criticizers (even with me) just shut our mouths and watched in awe. I, as a vintage tamanna’s fan felt happy that atleast now she is gonna revive and will be careful in chosing roles.
Disappointment:
But beating my thoughts, she chose a routine outdated mass masala script which is all about most unrealistic struggles of a man with woman and vice versa. She along with other heroine repeated the drastic performance she did in her previous disasters but thanks to director and hero venkatesh, the movie impressed family audiance. By the movie stopped its running in theater, both venkatesh and varun tej are benefitted by hit talk and tamanna’s fans are left with only this performance to talk about.
This performance became so viral and people started to make edits, troll and memes along various platforms in social media but the heat didnt last for so long.
While tamanna continued doing her stupid movies in various languages, the most stupidiest vishal starrer ACTION movie came out and The show she did in that movie was where I completely lost hope upon her.
Tamanna has everything to beat best actresses in telugu like kajal, samantha, etc except anushka. But she took wrong path and ended up in wrong place.
Well, she deserve it because it is her own choice. But still, why tamanna? why?
