Painful story ::::: From a famous Ramp model to begger——Geetanjali Nagpal
Behind the glittery glamour of film industry, there are also stories of struggle, loneliness and downfall. One such heartbreaking story is of former super- model ‘Geetanjali Nagpal.’
Geetanjali was once a known and beloved face in the modelling world. She had walked the ramp with big names, including former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. But years later, the same adorable super- model- Geetanjali Nagpal was reportedly found by some media journalists begging on the streets of Delhi with her lost identity. She had no money, no food, no shelter. All she had was the ‘indecent proposals’ from the men walking or driving around
Geetanjali was the daughter of a Navy officer. She studied at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi, one of the most reputed colleges in the country. She came from a rich and reputed family of Hisar, Harayana.
Her confidence, looks and personality helped her make a strong place for herself in the industry. She made a remarkable nane in the industry during the 1990’s.
With name, fame, money and recognition, her personal life soon became complicated. Her partners left her as she became arrogant and could not handle the fame. She would disrespect and degrade all her relationships
Geetanjali fell in love one more time, but this time with a German man. She went against her family’s wishes and married him. The couple also had a son. Her life seemed settled, but the marriage did not last as her husband could not digest her arrogant behaviour. Geetanjali and her husband got separated. Her son chose to to live with his father in Germany.
After the divorce , Geetanjali returned to India to re-stablish her career. She was not received well by the industry as she demeaned her colleagues, sponsors and clients during her peak period. Aghasted Geetanjali met a British business man in Goa. Their relationship soon became serious, and they later started living together in New Delhi. Soon she became addicted to drugs and alcohol. Slowly, her health, career and personal stability began to collapse. She lost all her money and her British partner duper her of all jewellery
She started working as a maid in houses to meet her daily expenses. Thecmodel who once walked with Miss World and Miss Universe, was now on road begging for some coins to eat something.

Luckily, a fashion photographer and a media journalist recognised her. They I served her sleeping on the streets and finding left-over food from the waste bins near Jasola, New Delhi .
Geetanjali was rescued and taken for the treatment with the help of a local NGO. After her psychiatric and drug addiction treatment, she was sent to Girls' hostel in Hissar. After recovering fully, she wished to stay with her parents
Geetanjali Nagpal appears to have stayed away from the media and public life ever since she rejoined with her mother . Her current whereabouts are not clearly known.
Her story remains a painful reminder that fame can be temporary, but mental health, support and compassion are deeply important. Behind every glamorous face, there is a human being who needs care, stability and understanding.
