Maeklong Market Railway is in the Maeklong Train Track market in Samut Songkhram, about 70 km southwest of Bangkok in Thailand. Maeklong Train Track market is called ‘Talad Rom Hoop’ in Thai which means ‘Market Umbrella Pulldown’. The food market is located on the top of the train tracks of this railway. A train runs through it eight times daily for which the shopkeepers quickly pull back their food stalls to let the trains pass and then again put the commodities back in position almost immediately.
Gisborne Airport Runway There’s something peculiar about these railways!

Napier-Gisborne Railway of New Zealand is unique in that it is a 1939 steam train that crosses the main runway of the Gisborne Airport i.e. the railway track and runway intersect each other. Trains stop and seek clearance from the air traffic control tower each time it reaches the runway.

Train to the Clouds or Tren a las Nubes is so named because of the clouds that are often seen under the bridges (the train tracks) and around the slopes. This railway connects Salta in north-central Argentina to La Polvorilla on the border of Chile. It is the third highest railway in the world that reaches a height of 4,200 meters above mean sea level in its 217 km trip. The railway line has 29 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 spirals, and 2 zigzags.

The Trans-Siberian Railway of Russia is the World’s Longest Railway. It is actually a network of railways connecting Moscow with the Russian Far East and the Sea of Japan. It is also known as one of the world’s most magnificent train journeys. The entire route of Moscow to Vladivstock which is 9,258 km long is the longest single train journey on earth taking seven days to complete.

The Landwasser Viaduct of Switzerland is basically a mountain railway track which was built in 1902. It is one of the most famous railways in the world seen in most Swiss holiday brochures.
