What happens if I skip breakfast?

My routine often left me with no option but to skip breakfast frequently

I have yoga classes from 7:30 am , hence I can't eat anything after 5:30 am (strictly prohibited by sir) .

And as I sleep by 2:00 am mostly , it becomes absolutely impossible to get up so early and eat , so postpone for now

After yoga , that usually ends by 9:00 am , the back to back classes make me feel so helpless , therefore skipped again

The lunch break starts from 12:40 pm that extends for whole 20 minutes (such a long duration no) , and canteen? It feels like a live battlefield with “we” fighting for hunger

I usually avoid the period , that further results in skipped meals

Then finally eats by 3:00 pm after my classes get over

What happens if you skip breakfast?

Stress , headache , nausea , low bp

Yes you heard it right , nowadays these feel like my only lifelong friends

Initially nothing was visible but with time it intensified , and I forcefully had to consult a doctor

It's been 2 months , I'm taking supplements , it feels better , yet lack of nutrition persists

I miss my old energy , and the healthy girl

In a nutshell , it's better to take your meals on time , because consequences can break your self esteem

What happens if I skip breakfast?

Different people can experience different things when they skip breakfast.

I have been bought up in a way that I have my breakfast irrespective of the time my day starts. I still remember that once for a business trip, I had to start from home at around 4.00 AM because I had to take a flight at 6.00 AM.

The night before, I prepared bread butter jam and kept ready so that I can have it along with coffee or milk before I start my day. My husband thought that I am kidding, but I did have that before I started from home. I cannot stay hungry for quite a long time, after I am awake.

Hunger triggers my migraine and I get vomiting sensation (trust me, vomiting is better than that sensation).

I will start my day with food, come what may.

I would suggest everyone to have breakfast because I believe that our body needs fuel after long hours of rest. Dinner would already have been utilized by the body so technically, your body doesn’t have any fuel to function properly.

Staying hungry for a long time can lead to

  1. Stomach ulcer
  2. Acidity
  3. Gastric problems
  4. Affects the kidney and liver as well (prolonged hunger can create this)

So my suggestion is, have a healthy and heavy breakfast.
