Does nepotism exist in Indian cricket? If so, what are some examples?

Yes . Nepotism do exist in cricket.

N SRINIVASAN

In 2008 when Virat Kohli was selected over S Badrinath, the then BCCI treasurer N.Srinivasan was strongly upset his felloe Tamil Nadu player being axed from the team. This was later revealed by Dilip Vengsarkar as

“He (Srinivasan) asked me on what basis was Badrinath axed & I told him about Virat's performance in the Emerging players tour to Australia. He argued that Badrinath has scored 800 runs for TN in that domestic season & when will he be given chance as he is already 29 & the next day he took Srikanth to Sharad Pawar & that was the end of my tenure”

Another such examples of Nepotism were:

Rohan Gavaskar

He wasn't even a shade of what his father used to be.He failed terribly as a cricket. He played for Bengal & then represented the country for 10 Odis. He started his second innings as a commentator

STUART BINNY

He was the son of Roger Binny, member of WC winning team 1983.He will be remembered for his record braking figures of 6/4 against Bangladesh. He is still a prominent player for Karnataka but the emergence of H Pandya & V Shankar has closed doors for the 34 year old.

Binny was selected for national team when Roger Binny was the member of selection committee . So Stuart was always been blamed & trolled for this.

There were allegations on Msd favouring Csk players. He once played with 6 csk players.

There are people who doubts KL Rahul selection in the Indian team despite a string of successive failures & they even abused VK on social media.
