Who is the best example of nepotism in Bollywood?

This is Harshvardhan Kapoor (guy on the right) -

Harsh auditions for Life Of Pi.

He is not selected.

This is Sonam Kapoor (the girl on the right).

Sonam auditions for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

She is not selected.

Now comes the below people -

This is Late Irrfan Khan.

He was offered a role in Robopocalypse by Spielberg.

He was offered the role of Hani Salaam in Body of Lies, by Ridley Scott starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

He was offered the role of Dr. Mann in Interstellar, by Nolan.

He was offered Vincent Kapoor in The Martian by Ridley Scott again.

He turned down all of these dream proposals.

This is Ronit Roy.

Ronit was offered Zero Dark Thirty and Homeland (TV series).

He turned down both of them due to his prior commitments for Student of the Year and Adaalat (TV Series).

Not just this,

Dilip Kumar rejected the lead role in Lawrence of Arabia (1962).

Now comes these actors -

Rajesh Shringarpure, who acted as a CIA agent in Hollywood film Seal Team Six is doing TV Series on Sony named Punyashlok Ahilyabai.

Pitobash Tripathy who did a Hollywood Film Million Dollar Arm and French film 7 jours pas plus, is doing small dialogue-free supporting roles in Indian movies.

Gaurav Chopra, who did a cameo in Blood Diamond and atleast 1 more actor unreleased Hollywood movie, is doing Indian TV serials.

To conclude,

  • The nepotistic stars are getting opportunities delivered to their doorsteps. But they are rejected due to lack of talent.
  • Self made stars are rejecting dream projects, which doesn’t honor their talent.
  • Deserving people are still struggling to get their voices heard. If they die tomorrow, below picture would depict the earth before and after their deaths -
