Arbaaz Khan reacted to Kashyap’s allegations as Kashyap publicly accused the Khan family of bullying him, ruining his career and sabotaging his projects following Dabangg.
He initiated strict legal action against Abhinav Kashyap. The fued which was going on from several years re-ignited when Kashyap gave a series of podcast appearances in 2025 continuing his attacks against the Khan family.
Kashyap had alleged that Khan and his family hijacked the creative credit and original version of Dabangg and forced him out of the sequel to set up Arbaaz Khan as the director. He also argued that he should be paid 200 crore based on the film's massive success and actor’s high fees.
Arbaaz argued that Kashyap's statement was contradictory as during the announcement of Dabangg 2 he had given many statements stating that he was very happy that Arbaaz was directing the sequel. Kashyap also mentioned that he did not want to be trapped in the further installments of the Dabangg series.
After his recent remarks, a 9-crore defamation case was filed by the Khan family citing 26 video interviews containing scandalous, false and defamatory statements against the Khan family.
In 2026, the court ruled that freedom of speech does not protect abusive, scandalous or threatening language. The court issued an order blocking Kashyap and associated media channels from posting or circulating any more disparaging remarks against the family.
