Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla stopped working together after a petty on-set argument and a series of practical jokes during the filming of the movie Ishq (1997).
Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn used to play practical jokes on Juhi during the shoot. The pranks even made Juhi cry and their final blowout upset her so much that she refused to show up for the shoot the next day.
Aamir was offended by her absence and in his stubbornness stopped speaking to Juhi completely. He started maintaining a strict professional distance on set and spoke only when a scene strictly required.
The shoot ended without bidding farewell and the feud lasted for about 6-7 years.
Finally, it was Juhi who broke the ice by calling Aamir upon hearing about his divorce with his then-wife Reena Dutta. Juhi's call mended their past differences and Aamir too was deeply touched by her gesture.
Aamir had admitted that the feud was due to his own stubborness and called it one of his biggest emotional flaws.
Before the feud the two were seen together in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Tum Mere Ho, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Love Love Love, Daulat Ki Jung, Aatank Hi Aatank, Ishq and Andaz Apna Apna (Juhi in cameo). After their reconciliation both made separate appearances in Luck by Chance (2009) where Aamir played a brief cameo as himself.
