Certainly this crown will go to Pratibha Patil ji. I will try to convey her achievements to all of you.
- Pratibha ji was very fond of travelling the world, so much so that during her tenure she made 12 foreign trips and visited 22 countries. The Indian government incurred a loss of Rs 205 crores in fulfilling her hobby.
- Pratibha ji's heart was full of compassion, so much so that before the end of her tenure, she pardoned 35 people who were sentenced to death. Let me tell you that these people included rapists, murderers and kidnappers.
- Pratibha ji was also a pioneer. After the completion of her tenure, unlike other presidents, she decided to go to her hometown Pune where a bungalow was built for her by encroaching upon 2,60,000 square feet of government land. Let me tell you that this land was meant for army widows.
- Pratibha ji increased her own salary by 300 percent.
- Despite all this, she was not going to stop. At the end of their tenure, whatever items (gifts/trophies/honorary items) the previous presidents had received from other countries and anywhere in India, they were loaded into trucks and taken away. Only after this, the decision was taken to build a Presidential Museum in India, which you can see today in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
- The sad thing is that she only misused her position after the best President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam.
