Rishi Pulastya
Pulastya was son of Brahma and a great Brahmarishi. He lived in a Hermitage of Trnabindu on the slopes of Mt.Meru. The daughter of Rajrishi Trnabindu was wife of Pulastya. She was a devoted and very loyal wife and she gave birth to Vishrava.
Pulastya was a highly learned man and had the knowledge of all Vedas. His son Vishrava was a man of learning and education. Vishrava had two wives, Devavarnini (daughter of Sage Bharadwaj) who have birth to Vaishravana (Kubera) and Ogre Princess Kaikesi who gave birth to Dashgriva, Kumbhkarna , Vibhishana and Surpnakha.
