Why is Lord Shiva called Mahatejaa?

Lord Shiva is worshipped as Jyotirlinga.

There are twelve Jyotirlinga across India.

Jyotirlinga : It means linga (symbol ) of Jyoti (divine light)

Shiva as Adiyogi represents eternal Yogagni.

Shiva (auspiciousness) along with Shakti (primal energy) are adored as cosmic parents.

Tejas : Thus, his tejas (radiance) is unbearable for Goddess Ganga and Lord Agni.

Only true devotees and seers can experience his divine energy.

Bholenath : But, being the lord of compassion ; he appears very soft to any refugee.

Being omniscient ; omnipotent and omnipresent ; he is Vishwanath.

Prayer : Sri Ganeshaya Namah Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai jai Ram Namo Parvatipataye Har Har Mahadev
