Pooja Hegde in hindi is an uprising Indian film actress as well as a model who mainly appears in Hindi and Telugu movies.
A former beauty pageant participant, Pooja was crowned as the second runner-up at the 2010 Miss Universe India competition, Prior going on to make her first acting debut in Mysskin’s Tamil superstar movie Mugamoodi.
She afterward appeared in Telugu movies Mukunda and Oka Laila Kosam, whilst signing on to appear as the leading actress in the movie Mohenjo Daro alongside Hritik Roshan.
Pooja Hegde was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra India on 13th October 1990. Her parents Latha Hegde and Manjunath Hegde are from Mangalore, Karnataka.
Her Mom mother tongue is Tulu, though she is also fluent in Marathi, Hindi, and English. She attended M.M.K College. She frequently sought to enter in intercollege competitions, partaking in fashion shows and dance.
Pooja Hegde also competed in Miss India competition 2009, though it was rejected in the first round regardless of winning the honor of Miss India Talented 2009.
She re-applied the next year and was appeared as second runner-up in the 2010 Miss Universe India competition, whilst also being crowned 2010 Miss India South Glamorous Hair in the secondary competition.
Pooja made her first acting debut with the movie Mugamoodi alongside Jiiva, depicting the female leading character of Shakthi, a frivolous girl who encourages the male lead to change his viewpoint on society.
The film received diversified to negative reviews from criticizers, hindering its progress, and the movie ended up becoming an astounding commercial failure.
Her second movie release, the Telugu movie Oka Laila Kosam, featured her alongside Naga Chaitanya. She was acclaimed for her remarkable performance in the movie. In the same year, she shot the nomination for the Best Actress at 62nd Southern Filmfare Awards.
In July 2014, Pooja Hegde agreed on the terms to make her first Bollywood appearance opposite Hrithik Roshan in Hindi in Ashutosh Gowariker’s forthcoming period movie Mohenjo Daro, set alongside the framework of Indus Valley civilization.
She was chosen after Gowariker’s wife had speckled her in a commercial ad and called her for the audition, which she completed successfully.
