The Easter Island figures actually have bodies!
They unearthed a few of them.
They became known as the "Easter Island Heads".
The fact is that about 150 of the statues were buried by earth and sediment shifts, and therefore most people believed that they were heads.
And since these heads were photographed far more often than the other statues, it leads to the assumption that the island is full of nothing but heads.
And the truth is, there isn't a single head.
Nevertheless, I would like it if they just left them as they were.
