Lakshmi and MahaVishnu's daughters were Amritavalli and Sundaravalli born out of the tears of joy of Narayana during his incarnation as Trivikrama.Once they went to their father Lord Vishnu. They desired to marry Lord Kartikeya. Lord Vishnu told them to do penance to please Lord Kartikeya . They did penance and Lord Kartikeya was pleased with them. He said that Amritavalli would be born as Tevayanai or Devasena who would be the daughter of Lord Indra and Sundaravalli would be reborn to Veddas as Valli and then he would marry them both. When they reincarnated as Tevyanai and Devasena Lord Kartikeya married them.
