What is the most ingenious and brutal act ever committed in the business world?

Emaar Properties, the owner of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, has an incredibly clever way of dealing with tenants who don't pay their monthly bills.

Most landlords will use a lawyer to evict these tenants. The problem is, this method is time-consuming. Furthermore, if the tenant doesn't have the money, they may not even get their money back, even if they win in court.

When Emaar Properties encountered a case where a tenant was in arrears with their rent, they came up with a smarter solution.

They “only” blocked the elevator and AC access of those units.

Of course, no one would want to go home to the 163rd floor (+- 844m) using the stairs, and then be trapped in a hot and stuffy room (because the windows cannot be opened).

I wonder if there are still people who want to be in arrears or not?
