It’s said that Kareena Kapoor walked out of Ram-Leela due to a combination of scheduling conflicts, monetary disputes and extra-shooting days which she was not comfortable with.
The surprising factor was that Kareena opted out of the film just 10 days before the filming began. Basically, she opted to do a Dharma Productions romantic comedy, Gori Teri Pyaar Mein.
She later admitted that the decision came out due to her personal preference and mood. She confessed to be mad as there were times she signed a film and then felt it was wrong.
Other than this, there were reports stating that her management had agreed for a 100-day shoot but Bhansali reportedly required additional dates without offering extra compensation. Kareena’s team decided that it wasn't a viable financial decision if compared with doing multiple other films.
So, basically it was her moody decision and favourism to Gori Tere Pyaar Mein over Ram- Leela.
