1. Shiney Ahuja Accused Of Rape

In June 2009, ‘Gangster’ star Shiney Ahuja was accused of raping his domestic help. The promising star refuted the claims initially, even going to the extent of saying that “things like this happen” to the police. Several colleagues in the film industry as well as his wife, Anupam, claimed that the allegations were untrue and that he was being framed. However, medical reports proved that the young lady had been forced. It was then that Shiney admitted to his crime, stating that he was unaware that ‘rape’ was a serious offence.

2. Madhur Bhandarkar And Preeti Jain Scandal

Madhur Bhandarkar, who hit the jackpot with movies like Chandni Bar, Page 3 and Fashion, was indicted in a rape case for allegedly requesting sexual favors from struggling actress Preeti Jain. According to a statement submitted by Preeti, she had consensual sex with Bhandarkar, when he promised her a role in his films. He did not keep his promise, and that is when the small-time actress slapped a case against him. Fighting the case for more than eight years, Madhur finally had the last laugh when Jain was arrested for hiring a contract killer to murder the famous director, and the latter was acquitted of all false charges.

3. Aditya Pancholi

While Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi was dating model-actress Pooja Bedi, the latter’s maid, who was just fifteen years old then, charged him with rape. The case caused uproar in the Hindi film industry, as the favorite ‘bad man’ turned into the same in real life. Though the case eventually slipped into oblivion, Bedi and Pancholi broke up after the rumors.

4. Payal Rohatagi’s Allegations Against Dibakar Banerjee

Having hogged the limelight for his critically acclaimed films Khosla Ka Ghosla and Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Dibakar Banerjee claimed the attention of the media with a controversy involving actress-model Payal Rohatgi. Both were initially on great terms, before Rohatgi approached Banerjee for a role in his film Shanghai. Things quickly turned sour when the director allegedly began visiting her house at wee hours of the night and demanded she strip for him. Dibakar though had a completely different story to narrate, as he accused her of having inappropriate intentions. The charges couldn’t be proved in court; the talented director was supported by colleagues while the actress fizzled out of the movie industry.

5. Shakti Kapoor Sting Operation

In a casting couch sting operation, yesteryear’s Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor was caught red-handed as he requested sex in exchange for roles in Hindi movies. A journalist had posed as a struggling actor who, as Kapoor claims, made advances towards him. Lured by the young woman, he admits to have played along. Though several people chose to ostracize the on-screen villain, there were others who chose to condemn the step taken by the media of staging the stratagem.

We all know Mandakini from two things- Ram Teri Ganga Maili where she e*posed a lot and due to her association with Dawood Ibrahim, but she had so many controversies related to her personal life and her relation with the Kapoor family, as well as her controversy with Aditya Pancholi.

First scandal was regarding his family itself. According to reports Yasmin Joseph (her real name) was an il**gitimate daughter of Munni and Mr Joseph. So the husband of Munni used to work in a bungalow but Munni were dismissed from work because of her bad character. She met a man named Joseph who claimed to be a rich man (which he was not) living in a bungalow (which was rented). Munni shifted to the bungalow with her children and her husband worked in the same premise as a gardener. Eventually Mr Joseph’s facade came out and the family suffered financially for a long time till Mandakini got RTGM. Even then the Kapoor clan was fed up of the behaviour of the family and never worked with her again.

Fight over money - Mandakini’s family had a lot of fights with multiple people over money. When Mandakini started her film career she didn't had the money for a portfolio. JP Singhal got her portfolio done and introduced her to many filmmakers spending his own money. He claimed that the family owed him 75000 rs which they neither paid nor acknowledged. Similarly during the success party of Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Joseph fought with Rishi Kapoor over money issues because he felt that the Kapoors have not given her any share of profit in the monumental success of RTGM. This fight escalated to first fight. Afterwards Mandakini threatened to walk off from the film Hawaalat in which she starred opposite Rishi. Eventually the fight was resolved and she stayed in the film.

The AMA production fiasco- Ajit Devani was the secretary of Mandakini. Along with Aditya Pancholi these three established a production house AMA production which was named after the three individuals (Aditya, Mandakini, Ajit) and they were supposed to start a film called Naamcheen. Ajit took a lot of money from Mandakini but didn't get any dates for the film. He also made he esign roles that she didn't wanted to do to find their films, like her cameo in Tezaab. Eventually Mandakini found out that they have shot Naamcheen without her. Mandakini lost millions and didn't even get the credit because she gave money in faith of her secretary who duped her and made the film under his name. She blasted both Ajit and Aditya Pancholi in the press. However Naamcheen failed badly at the box office so nobody really profited from this fiasco.

 Rajesh Khanna became a superstar but failed to handle superstardom. There was a time when Rajesh was worshipped like a 'God' by his fans. The problem started when Rajesh actually started considering himself as the God of all.
