Yajna is called the navel of the universe and as per vedas , Vishnu is Yajna.
- ayaṃ yajño viśvasya bhuvanasya nābhiḥ
- “This sacrifice is the navel of the whole universe.”
- Ṛgveda 1.164.35
- सुपादर्धगर्भा भुवनस्य रेतो विष्णोस्तिष्ठन्ति प्रदिशा विधर्मणि ।
- ते धीतीभिर्मनसा ते विपश्चितः परिभुवः परि भवन्ति विश्वतः ॥ १७ ॥
- “The seven half-embryos, well established, are the generative principle of the universe associated with Viṣṇu; they stand throughout the regions according to their cosmic functions. Endowed with intelligence and mind, these all-encompassing powers pervade the universe in every direction.”
- Atharvaveda Śaunakīya 9.10.17
- भुवनस्य रेतो विष्णोः
- “the generative seed of the universe, belonging to Viṣṇu.”
So it makes sense
