Chandrachur Singh who made his debut with Tere Mere Sapne and became an overnight sensation with his performance in Maachis had a short-lived presence on the silver screen due to a fatal accident.
He was going good with movies like Daag: The Fire, Kya Kehna and Josh but a tragedy struck him in the early 2000s when he had a serious accident while water skiing in Goa.
He lost grip while performing skiing and suffered major shoulder dislocations. His right hand was pulled out of the shoulder joint. He used to face the same problem again and again while shooting He also suffered a major drastic change in his looks due to medications and treatment. Above that his weight would fluctuate drastically.
He missed several opportunities due to the injury. The films which followed like Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Sarhad Paar flopped at the box-office.
His notable comeback was Zilla Ghaziabad in 2012. He appeared in a few films after that but was not able to leave his mark.
He shifted to OTT in 2020 and was seen in series like Aarya and Dil Bekaraar. He was also a part of the film Cuttputtli starring Akshay Kumar which released on OTT.
