It is often very controversial, with restaurants running into internal issues with local managers/owners who are usually men.
In 2002, in Panama City, Florida, a manager at a local Hooters held an internal promotion saying that the waitress who sold the most beer the following month would win a free Toyota.
After the competition was over, they blindfolded the winner, took her outside, and presented her with a brand new one:
Yoda Toy.
The joke did not amuse her.
She sued the company and won, having the option to go to a local dealership and choose a Toyota of her choice, which she did.
