Some of the kick-ass things he has done so far :
- In his home state Goa, he lives in his own house and has converted his official CM’s residence into his office.
- Every girl child gets Rs 1 Lac deposited automatically into her bank account on completion of 18 years
- An amount of Rs. 1000/- is directly credited in the bank account of housewives every month as a measure to combat Price Rise
- Goa is the only state where petrol costs less than diesel. This was made possible due to the VAT being slashed down to 0.1% as part of the party's 2012 poll manifesto, which slashed petrol prices by a whopping Rs.15 per litre.
- He does not believe in spending public money over security and travel. When he is required to fly, he uses regular airlines instead of chartered flights and travels in Economy class.
- Last but not the least, he was awarded the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year Award 2012 in the politics category.
