Maryam Uz Zamani Begum
Akbar did not love Jodha because she did not exist. Jodha Bai is a misnomer of Maryam Uz Zamani Begum (Princess of Amber) who was married to Akbar in a peace alliance between Raja Bharmal and Akbar. Raja accepted service of Mughals and gave one of his Princesses in marriage to Akbar in return of safety and protection of his Kingdom. Her name is alleged to be Harka Bai. She was mother of Emperor Jahangir.
Their personal relationship seems to be tolerable to each other as the Mughal sources suggest that she was allowed to earn her own money and do trade. She also did charity work and issued limited farmans. She wishes to be buried closer to her husband. But the marriage was a typical political alliance, not any love story at all.
