Formerly known as DLW(Diesel loco works) Varanasi.

Early Build locos Alco locomtoives WDM/WDG, WDP 1 /WDP 3A and EMD Locos

Now it manufactures Electric locos WAP 4 and on going production WAP 7

BHEL Jhansi Plant

This loco factory manufactures and assembles electric locomotives, including WAG-9 variants for Indian Railways.

Siemens Mobility designs locos like New WAG D9 Freight Electric loco and built at Dahod locomotive factory in Gujarat.

8. Suri and Nayar (SAN) Engineering & Locomotive Co.

Narrow gauges diesel Loco NDM 6 is manufactured by (SAN) in 1997, Bangalore.

This class of loco was first used on the Neral-Matheran narrow-gauge route.
