Are reality shows fake in India?

Yes, as you might have seen on TV and learnt from the internet so far, all Indian reality shows are fake and scripted. Firstly, Indian reality shows are generally copied from the foreign shows . You would hardly find any reality shows to be true. They can do anything for " TRP, TRP and TRP". Let's have some look at them.

  • Kaun Banega Crorepati :

Arguably, the personality of Amitabh Bachchan overshadows so many things but there are some discrepancies in the show. Amitabh also favours the participant when the answer is wrong as seen in the episodes. Also, celebrities easily winning 1-2 crores rupees is hardly believable where even scholars find it difficult to perform.

  • Indian Idol :

You will get to compete only if you're a student of their music academy. Yes, they have academy. If you're not the member, you will have to pay them a fee every week till you're competing. Most of the stories of the contestants are fake as they are fabricated to bring TRP. If you had been a participant in it for first stage, it is not celebrity judge who takes your audition. A person takes audition for 3 seconds and they allow you for celebrity audition. 3 sec to judge whether you are a good singer or not.

  • Big Boss :

Bigg Boss, as per so many claims, is scripted. When the participants are not shooting, they are watching TV, surfing Facebook and what not. They make up the fights to create interest in audience. The winner is decided even before they start Shooting the first episode. More controversy, more the TRP. This is the basic rule of any reality shows.

  • Splitsvilla :

Obviously it is one of the most fake show. The participants cross every possible limit of vulgarity while playing games. They set a new bench mark every time to prove their shamelessness.Their fights are so childish and stupid even a kid would tell that they are doing this for attention. The relationships last as long as show.

There is a Tamil Film called 'Kavan' which shows the reality behind all reality shows and how they use them to fool audience and make money.

May be in the end, let's compare them to WWE. They are fake and entertain you. You love it and you are actually not interested in reality.

What are the most commonly circulated fake images?

 1. Photo of Iceberg

I have seen this photo several times circulating on Quora and motivational posts on other social media.

While it may appear authentic at first glance, this photo is actually a Photoshop composite of four other photos. The cloud and underwater portions were taken in Santa Barbara, California. The top of the iceberg was taken in Antarctica, then cropped and reversed. The bottom portion is from Alaska.

This photo editor is named Ralph Clevenger. He's been a professional photographer for over three decades. He's shot for National Geographic, Outside, Audubon, and other magazines. The sales of these photos earned him $900,000 and helped put his children through college.

Ralph Clevenger and his doctored photos.

2. Photos of the Discovery of Giant Human Fossils

Photos of this type of model are usually used as supporting material for conspiracy theories related to the Ad people or the Prophet Adam who "said" was meters tall.

Unfortunately, all of these photos are photoshopped. One of the photos, after further investigation, turned out to be an edited image from the cover of a book titled * The Return of the Giants: After Noah's Flood*.

The left is a photo that has been enlarged and embellished by excavators. The right is the original.

3.

Steven Seagal's Photobomb Behind President Vladimir Putin

This photo, taken by Sasha Mordovets in March 2013, caused quite a stir after it was edited and passed off as real by an irresponsible individual. Furthermore, the faces of Steven Seagal and the man beside him at the time were truly meme-worthy.

However, this photo was proven fake. The real one is the one on the left, which lacks the edited finger as in the photo on the right.

4. NatGeo Photographer Chased by Bear

This photo frequently appears on various websites, as if to demonstrate that wildlife photography is a demanding and dangerous profession. It even poses a risk of being chased by a bear. Even though the bear is actually a photoshop.

The man in the blue shirt on the right is named Tim Spark. He's a filmmaker, and the three people on the side are his crew. The three of them were about to make a film in Salida, Colorado in 2011.

Because the filming location was a wilderness, Tim

Spark thought it would be hilarious to take a photo of them running away from a bear and upload it to social media. Tim Spark and his friends acted as if they were being chased, making their expressions as dramatic as possible to achieve the best result.

The photo was then edited with Photoshop and added with an image of a bear from the internet.

Another version of the photo of Tim et al is like this.

Still no bear. If you look closely, the crew member on the far left is smiling.

The left is a photo edit. The right is the original, with no bear there.

Why is Dubai called a fake city?

I've been to Dubai, and I found it to be quite a boring city, especially for those who aren't filthy rich. There's nothing to do there because the entertainment is all about luxury and expensive shopping.

There's no scenery at all. The only things there are tall buildings and luxury buildings for photo ops; the rest is just sand.

Yes, this is the entertainment. Looking at the sand and walking on it.

During the trip, the sidewalks are just filled with sand if we don't live in a luxury area.

I love going to malls. But the Dubai Mall is too big and I find it monotonous. When I go to Dubai, I end up shopping at a factory outlet or a kind of discount shop next to the hotel. There are lots of really cheap branded items. Vans for 300,000 Rupiah, Balmain for under 1 million Rupiah, Tommy Hilfiger sweaters for 150,000 Rupiah, Tsum Tsun dolls for 15,000 Rupiah, and many more.

So my advice, if your travel budget doesn't reach hundreds of millions per day per person, it's better not to go to Dubai. It's a loss, it's better to take a road trip to European countries (during the road trip, we can cry with joy if we're in Europe, the scenery is so beautiful).
